Course Description

The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) Core Programme is the global standard in computer skills, offering candidates an internationally recognized certification that is supported by governments, computer societies, international organizations and commercial corporations globally. ICDL is a test of practical skills and competencies and consists of seven separate modules covering computer theory and practice.

  • 1.Concepts of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • 2.Using the Computer and Managing Files - Identifying computer hardware and software components; understanding networking basics, health and safety issues
  • 3.Word Processing (Word) - Basic text operations, Formatting, Tables, graphics, and other objectives, Word processing output
  • 4.Spreadsheets (Excel) - Working with cells, and columns; handling worksheets, using formulas and functions, creating charts and graphs, formatting cells
  • 5.Using Databases (Access) - Using tables, records, and fields; working with forms, retrieving data, creating and modifying reports
  • 6.Presentation (PowerPoint) - Developing a presentation, managing slides, manipulating test and images, using charts, graphs, and special effects
  • 7.Web Browsing and Communication - Understanding key terms and concepts, navigating and search the web, sending and managing e-mail
