CNIA – “Providing the core skills necessary to those who protect the national infrastructure” [Training nearly 1000 security officers and ancillary staff]

The Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) provides security services at all UAE facilities which are central to the nation's security and future prosperity. Senior officials in the organization have identified the need for recruits to develop a range of core skills to better perform their roles both in the field and as employees. ADUKG is the organization's training partner of choice for this task.

ADUKG conducted a full scoping of the roles of recruits, shadowing on-duty staff and analyzing the results of needs analysis exercises. Our response has been customized program of English language training, IT skills development and first aid courses, based at the CNIA's purpose built training facility in Sweihan. The program helps to ensure that recruits can communicate effectively in English, perform essential tasks on a computer and administer emergency first aid, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, in both combat and non-combat situation.

This program is now in its second year of operation and is providing a strong basis for the ongoing development of young recruits. Services have now been extended to providing pre-employment skills screening in iT and English together with a program in UAE history to provide some longer term perspective on the CNIA's central role in safeguarding the nation's facilities. A further extension is the provision of basic first aid and safety in the workplace programs to CNIA employees.
