Tawteen – “Creating a perfect fit between UAE national job seekers and sustainable employment” [Over 2000 UAE nationals have completed their training]

To address the targets set for Emiratization, the Abu Dhabi Emiratization Council was faced with a serious backlog of nationals from all backgrounds seeking career guidance and support.

The Institute for Vocational Development (IVD) was established to pioneer a new approach to meeting sector skills needs, working closely with ADEC and international partners. A team from Pearson Education, edexcel and prospects was assembled to design employability and work skills (vocational) qualifications new to the UAE.

Nearly 2000 nationals have been able to develop their Business English skills sufficient to study in English, develop work and management skills and to receive support in seeking sustainable employment. A new careers guidance service with more than 40 trained career guidance advisors was a key product of the project.
